What we do
Equipment → Verification → Capability → Competency → Authorisation → Safe Use
Under the OPGGS Act 2006, the operator of an offshore facility has a statutory obligation to take all reasonably practicable steps to ensure that any plant and equipment at the facility is safe and without risk to health. The OPGGS (Safety) Regulations 2024 require the facility Safety Case and Safety Management System to address the activities, hazards, control measures, applicable standards, inspection, testing, maintenance and fitness for purpose of equipment affecting facility safety.
Where a MODU is operated by an entity unrelated to the petroleum titleholder, Schedule 3 clause 13C additionally requires the titleholder to take all reasonably practicable steps to ensure the operator complies with, and is able to comply with, its statutory health and safety obligations.
Accordingly, equipment introduced onto a MODU should be managed through the facility's established Safety Case and Safety Management System controls, including appropriate verification, certification, acceptance, mobilisation, installation and ongoing integrity assurance.
REPLM+ verifies the equipment. VOC verifies the people.
